Bernat Klein Studio

Recommended Posts

Something a bit different today, a building rated as the 5th most architecturally-influential building erected in Scotland since the Second World War. Constructed in 1972 just outside Selkirk as a workspace fror the textile designer Bernat Klein it’s a great example of late Modernism. The building was purchased in 2000 by Edinburgh-based developer with the intention to convert it into a private home. Apparently the renovation had been disrupted by the damage worth £100,000 caused by burst pipes and water running through the building for 2 weeks recently so it remains unoccupied.

Imagine arriving there to a party 30 years ago..

To find this interior..
