  1. Scrapyard, Barnsley, May 2011

Visited this place with Judders. Judders informs me that this scrapyard was owned by a man who passed away and left it to his sons who were completely disinterested in it. Was a gorgeous place that boasted not only a plethora of hidey holes but also a whole load of interesting junk to go and mooch about it. I really loved the derelict caravan there...was weirdly cosy even though it was a bit trashed. There were vans and backs of lorries filled with intact things just left to rot. It was like a post-apocalyptic playground and yet another type of habitat I wish was on my doorstep. A boat There was evidence scattered around that this caravan had been owned by a family. Just one of many wonderfully intact and boxed items. To see the rest, goHERE.
